By a spider. No, not an Alfa Romeo. A (large, angry) California Wolf Spider in the middle of the trail. I am not including pictures, because it took 2 hours for me to calm my arachnophobic self down, and seeing pictures will freak me out again. However, if you are feeling brave this morning, Google it, and see what horrors faced me this morning.

Nope. Nope. NOPE.
Here's my solution to your spider problem.
There's only one good spider, and that's a jumping spider because they wear hats.

I don't know why, but I googled it. Now all I want to do is run away. from everything. I hate hate hate spiders.

NOPE NOPE NOPE FUCK THAT.
Spiders are a big no no. I once found a Tarantula in my tent at Boy Scouts camp. Refused to sleep in that tent ever again.

Ever have a spider crawl on the windshield of your car when you've got your windows open? Sometimes I can locate the window controls, sometimes I panic too much.

I found a stag beetle in mine:.
It was awesome, actually. If I recall correctly, some other kid got the wolf spider.

I can always locate the washer button if not.

Finding bugs in tents is the reason I'm glad my family has a pop-up camper.

It's the reason I don't camp anymore. Well that and several other reasons.

Awww, I love wolf spiders. They eat all the really annoying pests and don't want anything to do with humans. Used to catch them and feed them crickets in New Mexico.
Now these fuckers are some good nightmare fuel:
Used to catch these too since they are harmless and prefer crickets as well. Had almost a dozen crawling around my home in NM. Decided to have them as pets.
Please don't hurt the wolf spiders. Black widows and brown recluses? Fuck those little fucks.

Second, I didn't hurt him. I stopped for a quick look, then was like NONONONONOFUCKI'MOUT!

Haha well that's good enough to me.
And that beauty is a Vinegaroon, aka Whip-tailed scorpion. Type of scorpion except it doesn't have a stinger. Shoots a liquid that smells like vinegar (get it? heh heh) to ward of predators.
